Murrieta, CA - September 10, 2014 Concord Utility Services (Concord) will be installing approximately 12,500 Sensus MXU's for Santa Clarita Water District.  Santa Clarita Water District, the public water utility which serves Santa Clarita, is building a new utility network infrastructure using the Sensus FlexNet^TM advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) system for residential and commercial water customers.

SCWD is implementing the wireless licensed spectrum FlexNet AMI system to cover all of Santa Clarita. Installation of the full AMI system in Santa Clarita is expected to be straight forward. “Santa Clarita Water District is making the leap to smart grid in a very responsible, coordinated manner that will certainly improve service, reliability and efficiency across the the District,” said Doug Oberheu- CEO of Concord Utility Services. 

Concord is providing complete installation services including a Work Order Management System (WOMS), workflow development, data gathering and transfer for the project. 

The project is expected to start in October 2014 and be completed in January 2015.
