Concord Utility Services (Concord), helps utilities install and upgrade water, gas and electric meters embedded with time and money-saving technology, will be installing Sensus "Smart" Meters throughout Oak Park Water District.

Smart water meters, similar to electric and gas meters equipped with comparable technology, allow customers to see exactly how much water they consume in real time and can use this information to actively manage and reduce their daily usage, ultimately saving on their water bill. The technology also allows the utility to remotely review consumption levels across the service area for conservation and billing purposes and, most importantly, identify and repair potential leaks before they become severe.

Concord works closely with utilities to establish formal meter installation procedures. Every meter technician receives extensive training prior to performing meter installations, allowing them to identify potential leaks and other wasteful or irregular conditions. Concord is providing complete installation services including a Work Order Management System (WOMS),  workflow development, data gathering and transfer, and meter box lids for the project. 

The project is expected to start in February of 2015 and be completed by July of 2015.
